Welcome to Lyndor CL

Lyndor certified caravan site is situated in the beautiful Wye Valley in rural Herefordshire and offers an attractive combination of location, amenities, and local attractions, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a memorable, relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The site was the feature backdrop at last year’s Caravan and Motorhome exhibition for the Caravan and Motorhome Club which highlights the sheer beauty of this rural gem of a camping site.
Last year the site experienced a record level of occupancy from visitors looking to escape lockdown in the peace and quiet of a beautiful rural location overlooking the river and due to the increase in demand we have now installed reinforced plastic matting on most of the pitches and certain strategic access points on the site.
The site is an ideal centre for walking, cycling, fishing, visiting local places of interest or just relaxing on site.
We have our own fishing beat which is a mile downstream from the site and provides great sport for coarse as well as game fishermen. All bookings need to be made through our Foy Bridge Fishery website.
For those guests who enjoy canoeing and paddle boarding we have a dedicated landing point close to the caravan field.
The centre of each pitch is marked by a numbered peg, when it is in order for you to park your unit at whatever angle you wish on your pitch.

We are now taking bookings for the period 1st April – 30th October 2023.

We look forward to welcoming you to Lyndor in 2023

Visitors Comments

Voted most idyllic riverside CL Site in Herefordshire
In  August 2018 Edition of Caravan  and Motorhome Club Magazine

Hi Wendy
It was great meeting you and thank you for making us feel so welcome.
We had a fantastic break and your site is one of the most picturesque sites we've stayed at.
I would highly recommend your site, it was so peaceful and quiet both day and night.
There were endless walks directly from the site and in a great spot.
We look forward to returning next year.
Kind regards,
Marios.

This is a truly beautiful site.
Clean and very well cared for. Wonderful views across the river wye and some fantastic walks from the site. Very quiet and peaceful. Online booking was so simple with follow up emails giving clear arrival instruction's including very simple directions to the site. If you want a rural idyll this is definitely the place to find it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Review 28 July - 31 July 2023

This is now my 3rd stay this year!
It's a fabulous little site right on the river Wye. It's so nice and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing break.

I'll definitely be back for another break before the end of the season!

Chris

Beautiful Spot

Stopped here twice, just for one nt,each end of our fortnight holiday to Wales . Fantastic place very peaceful, great looking over the river, quite rd,on this country Estate.first stop was great, second stop,it had rained quite a lot in the wks before, And the grass was very rough, spaces weren't clear, would of been better if the whole field had been cut. But would return, such a lovely spot.

Fabulous little site

Fabulous site in a perfect location- next to the river wye. Lovely views. Well thought out site. Loads of room in between vans. Buzzards and birds sounds are wonderful. The river views are delightful

Peaceful river view location

A lovely quiet spot. There is plenty to do around here and the road is quiet enough to walk on. Shame there is no river-swimming allowed!

Beautiful location

Stayed here for one night. Stunning location on the edge of the River Wye. Charles contacted us quickly after our original email and when we had additional questions. Very peaceful and can imagine it must be wonderful in good weather (we had rain). Not the fault of the owner, but it is a shame some dog owners don't clean up after their dogs.

Owner response

Well behaved dogs are very welcome on our CL Site, which is inspected regularly each day for cleanliness and litter and we have always found our Caravan visitors to be very responsible in keeping the site clean in all respects.

Beautiful Site

We have just had 7 nights at the beautiful Lyndor. If you are looking for peace, quiet and a lovely setting, this is the site for you. Charles, the owner was welcoming on arrival and happy to chat during our stay making sure we were happy and everything was ok. The site is ideally placed on the banks of the river Wye for fishing and on the route of the Herefordshire trail for walkers and central for Ross and Hereford. Even though the site is on the road side you don't notice the half dozen cars a day that pass. This site is definitely worth visiting.

The most beautiful site you could ever wish for

What an amazing site, if you want beautiful scenery and a peaceful setting this is the one for you. We had some wonderful walks and cycle rides - only 4 miles to Ross on Wye. The owners were so helpful and kind, we had a problem with one of our bicycles and they even bought a chain link and helped to fit it! I cannot recommend this site enough - we will definitely be returning!
